Ashness Bridge
A stone packhorse bridge above Derwentwater, on the road toward Watendlath.
Ashness Bridge is a small stone bridge on the narrow road that climbs from the Borrowdale road toward Watendlath. The view back over Derwentwater to Skiddaw is the reason coaches stop. Surprise View is a little further up the same road. The road is single-track.
