Red Pike (Wasdale) is a 826 m Wainwright in the western fells, above Wasdale and Ennerdale. The red scree fell at the head of Mosedale. It is a different hill from Red Pike above Buttermere. A usual day starts from Wasdale Head and takes about 6–8 hours. This guide grades it strenuous, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions. Read a mountain forecast before a high fell, and turn back if the ridge is in wind, cloud, or ice.
