Rydal Mount
Wordsworth’s later home, above Rydal Water, still lived in by his family.
Rydal Mount is the house above Rydal where William Wordsworth lived from 1813 until his death. The garden walks were laid out by the poet. It is a smaller, more domestic visit than a valley day, and it sits between Ambleside and Grasmere village.
