The Nab is a 576 m Wainwright in the far eastern fells, above Haweswater. A rarely visited spur of Rest Dodd above Ramps Gill. Stay on the recognised path; the surrounding land has access restrictions. A usual day starts from Hartsop and takes about 6–8 hours. This guide grades it strenuous, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions. Read a mountain forecast before a high fell, and turn back if the ridge is in wind, cloud, or ice.
