Seatallan is a 692 m Wainwright in the western fells, above Wasdale. A broad grassy fell set back from Wastwater, quieter than the Scafell group and often combined with Middle Fell. A usual day starts from Wasdale Head and takes about 6–8 hours. This guide grades it strenuous, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions. Read a mountain forecast before a high fell, and turn back if the ridge is in wind, cloud, or ice.
