High Crag (Buttermere) is a 744 m Wainwright in the western fells, above Buttermere. The eastern end of the High Stile ridge, dropping toward Gatesgarth and the head of Buttermere. A usual day starts from Buttermere and takes about 6–8 hours. This guide grades it strenuous, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions.
