Wandope is a 772 m Wainwright in the north-western fells, above Buttermere. A grassy shelf between Eel Crag and Whiteless Pike, crossed on the Grasmoor round. A usual day starts from Buttermere and takes about 6–8 hours. This guide grades it strenuous, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions. Read a mountain forecast before a high fell, and turn back if the ridge is in wind, cloud, or ice.
