Nab Scar is a 450 m Wainwright in the eastern fells, above Grasmere and Ambleside. The end of the Fairfield ridge above Rydal Water, and a shorter walk than the full horseshoe. A usual day starts from Grasmere and takes about 4–5 hours. This guide grades it moderate, judging distance and steepness in fair summer conditions.
